About Together Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy in Livingston, West Lothian
Together Physiotherapy evolved from Daniel Wilson Sports Injury Management, founded in 2014 in Livingston.
Following completion of a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy at Edinburgh Napier University in 2025, the clinic expanded into a broader physiotherapy service, continuing to operate from the same Livingston location while widening clinical scope.
The aim remains straightforward:
Deliver clear assessment, structured rehabilitation and measurable outcomes.
Professional Background
Daniel graduated in 2014 with an honours degree in Sport and Exercise Science, specialising in sports injury management and recovery modalities.
In 2025, he completed an MSc in Physiotherapy, expanding clinical scope to include:
-
Musculoskeletal physiotherapy
-
Neurological rehabilitation
-
Vestibular and balance assessment
-
Community-based rehabilitation
Over more than a decade in clinical practice, he has worked across sports performance environments and general musculoskeletal rehabilitation, managing both acute injuries and long-standing conditions.
Experience spans grassroots participation through to semi-professional and elite sport.
Clinical Approach: Assess. Educate. Treat.
Rehabilitation at Together Physiotherapy follows three clear principles.
Assess
Every session begins with structured clinical assessment aimed at identifying contributing factors — not simply treating the area of pain.
Understanding load tolerance, movement patterns and functional limitation allows rehabilitation to be targeted and efficient.
Educate
Clear explanation is central to recovery.
Clients are supported to understand:
-
What is contributing to symptoms
-
What the rehabilitation plan involves
-
How to manage progression and flare-ups
Education builds independence and long-term resilience.
Treat
Treatment combines hands-on therapy where appropriate with progressive exercise rehabilitation.
The goal is not repeated short-term relief, but meaningful improvement and sustainable return to activity.
Experience in Sport & Performance
Daniel has worked with a range of sporting organisations across Scotland, including rugby union, football, athletics, ice hockey and golf.
This performance background informs a pragmatic approach to rehabilitation — balancing return-to-play timelines with long-term physical durability.
However, you do not need to be an athlete to benefit from physiotherapy.
The clinic supports:
-
Competitive athletes
-
Recreational sport participants
-
Office-based workers
-
Individuals recovering from surgery
-
Those managing ongoing pain or balance concerns
Philosophy
The objective is simple:
Help you move freely again.
Not through unnecessary long treatment plans, but through structured progression and honest clinical reasoning.
Treatment is individualised, practical and focused on helping you return to work, sport or daily life with confidence.
